Yep, that’s right! I’m actually awake! Ready to go out the door in fact. Got to go right now, being picked up. Got up at 6:15 though!

  1. One early morning down, one to go. Have fun in Elkhart and wave at my friends in South Bend for me :)

  2. Just got home a few minutes ago. Had a really productive meeting with the tech guy at the church we visited in Elkart, and I think some of the ideas and tools we showed him will help him put together a plan to expand their video and media ministry areas. Plus it was nice to discuss stuff that we are looking at implmenting ourselves…we didn’t just go in there and say “this is what we have,” it was more, “here’s what we have, we’re making the best of what we have now, but we have some of the same pressing needs as you…here’s what we’re looking at doing that you may also be interested in.”

All part of our goal of becomming a resource church, helping out others in areas where we’re trying to help ourselves. Spreadin’ the expertise around, as it were. Figuring out how to do things the right way. Spending lots of money ;-) (Excellence comes at a price! One I find to be worth it.)

Plus a good six hours with three people in a car is a good way to have a lot of conversation. So is getting pizza from Pappa John’s, but most of you won’t know what I’m talking about…

  3. Sounds like it went well. (and yay for pizza, breadsticks, and good friends :)

  4. I would have to agree and say yes (even though my sentence is redundant :-)

Sunday through Tuesday were very good days all around. Wednesday was tiring and there was way too much going on, but I can’t count it as “bad” really. Besides, for staff prayer we had an awesome hour of worship that was amazing! Probably why the rest of the day doesn’t seem as bad as it probably was :-)

FUSE was good though, Pastor Nathan talked about Abraham and how “famous people get old, too” (granted, that’s not a quote from Nathan, but I don’t feel like explaining the in-joke. Let’s just say it’s a by-product of Pappa John’s pizza (and breadsticks for weirdos that don’t like pizza…) (oh yeah, and friends) (sermon was about Abram/Abraham though, and was really good! It’ll be online soon for streaming if anyone’s interested) :-)

Let’s also see if I can end all paragraphs in this comment with a colon-based smiley. Ya think? (I do. Actually I just think this paragraph needs more top-level parenthetical comments. (Or not. (Okay, maybe nested ones will balance it out?))) :-)

  5. You know, I think this is one of your shortest posts, at only 5 sentences, but it seems to have gotten the most comments. BTW, you like parentheses way too much ;)

  6. No, I love (I mean really (no really!)) parentheses :-) “…too much…” [What? Hello? I can’t hear you…] ;-)
