Firefox’s Google homepage…a ’suggest’ion?

Now that “Google Suggest Beta”:http://labs.google.com/suggest has been released, and seems to work really well…why not add it to the “Mozilla Firefox Start Page”:http://www.google.com/firefox that Google hosts? Then I wouldn’t have to choose between leaving the nice Firefox start page (my current choice) and Google Suggest set as my home page. Google can go ahead and add the Suggest technology to its main homepage, too, as far as I’m concerned!

Now if they would just listen to me…

  1. Google rocks. The suggest thing looks pretty cool! Thanks for pointing it out…

  2. that’s considered production. Google’s suggest feature is in development (it’s a preview).

you don’t put testing products in production! Otherwise you could have problems. That’s why you test first.

  3. I understand the concept…but ‘Suggest works for me and I want it now :-) Wish there were a way to use cookies or something to “enable” Suggest but with the Firefox start page around it. Wouldn’t be hard. That way most people get Firefox Start Page, and power users who know about ‘Suggest could “tap into the power” on the machines they used most often.

Oh well…I alluded to Google not taking my advice…and I think they still won’t; I doubt they know my site exists among their index of 8 billion+ pages :-)

And Ruth…glad I could help…even more glad to see my friends are actually keeping up with my blog! (same goes for you on the friends-reading-blog front Robert! I read yours too…heck I get some ideas for posts from you…with trackbacks of course :-)
