I don’t usually bother, but I was kind of curious when a friend had it on her “blog”:http://www.livejournal.com/users/librarygal/126835.html and was Palm OS (my fav PDA OS), so I tried it out:
What the heck! At least I didn’t get Windows ME (the last question on the quiz was “Will the answers to these questions really help you determine my personality?” and I answered “If I end up Windows ME someone is going to be hurting.” So that’s good. But still…you’d think I’d be Linux or something cool like that…okay I think I’d be Linux, maybe you don’t…
I went back and changed my answer to that last question to “It doesn’t really matter now does it?” and look at the results:
I might have to stick with Apple DOS :-)
Okay, this is a bit suspicious. I changed my answer again to the last question, and answered “Hey we’re the ones asking the questions, you just answer them and shut up!“, and this is what came back:
YAY! Linux! Debian Linux at that! Good distro. Only took me three tries…at this point I’m wondering if the test is contingent primarily on the last question. Every time I change it I get a different answer. Like answering “No, it’s entirely random.” gives me this:
And, of course, the last option I hadn’t already tried (“I believe everything on BBspot.”) gives me:
I guess I can’t be Windows XP, since by this time I’m definitely not believing everything on “BBspot”:http://www.bbspot.com! Especially since they run a Windows-based webserver with ASP…gives me plenty of reasons not to trust them right there! Oh yeah, but of course “librarygal”:http://www.livejournal.com/users/librarygal/126835.html was PalmOS, which I haven’t seen yet, so that kind of blows my whole “contingent on one question” theory. But I definitely don’t have time to do a more in-depth study. Heck, I don’t really have time to write this post as-is!
Okay…I had to go back and check what file extension I was. Crappy one here first time through, too:
But if I change my favorite function key from F11 to F4 (you don’t want to know (or I don’t want you to know) what F11 got me. Okay it was .gif), I get my personal favorite file extension (okay it’s tied with .pl actually):
Yay! Okay I’m really done now.
I think someone had too much time on their hands…What is a .swf file anyway?

An .swf file is a Macromedia Flash file. Something certain people (no names…) could have found out at Google, but it was more fun to have a short conversation here on my blog-with-few-comments!
